Graveside services for Lewis Drayton Shealy, 81, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Southland Memorial Gardens with Rev. Mark Smith officiating. Memorials may be made to National Health Care-Lexington, 2993 Sunset Blvd., West Columbia, SC 29169 or a charity of one’s choice. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium Historic B-L Chapel is assisting the family. Mr. Shealy died Wednesday November 18, 2009. Born in Leesville, he was a son of the late Gordon E. and Maude Poole Shealy. He was retired from the state of SC, was a US Marine Veteran and was a Mason. Surviving include a brother, William “Billy” (Ann) Shealy of Leesville, sisters, Ella Ruth (Herbert) Waters of Cayce, and Elizabeth (Gene) Marlow of Grove Town, GA, also nieces and nephews including his caregivers, Betty and Wyman Bedenbaugh of Leesville. He was predeceased by his wife, Doris Addy Shealy, and brothers, Gordon, J. L., Archie, Frank and Dan Shealy.
